I offer architectural services & preservation consulting for smaller sized projects. I work on an hourly basis & provide just the services that are needed. I like to meet on site with no obligation to assess the project & offer what services are appropriate.
I provide a written agreement which provides a budget for my services based on our discussions. I try not to exceed the budget unless agreed upon factors occur that require more services.
I am self employed & work alone, so I’m the only one that works on the project. I take care of your project personally. I use surveying, engineering, & other consultants when needed or desired, with prior client approval.

Licensed Architectural Services in Illinois.
Building Design for residential & commercial projects. I have designed many types of projects over the last 25 years.
Historic Preservation & Rehabilitation architectural services & consulting for historic tax credit projects. I have experience in Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, & Wisconsin with state & federal historic tax credits.
Building permit services. I sometimes work with owners who need immediate services to get or re-instate building permits when code issues & zoning create problems that are not anticipated.
Zoning Applications. I have experience before zoning boards in Galena, Dubuque, & Chicago.
Historic District Applications for Certificates of Appropriateness. I have experience going before Historic Preservation Committees in Galena, Dubuque, & Platteville. I served for 10 years on the Galena HPC & have a good working knowledge of the local codes.
